The short version: Tare processes everything on your device. We don't collect, store, transmit, or sell any of your data. There is no server.

Data collection

Tare does not collect personal data. Captures, cleaned images, and extracted text are processed entirely locally in your browser and stored only where you choose to save them.

Permissions

Tare requests the minimum Chrome permissions required to capture the active tab and read page structure for cleanup. It requests no host permissions beyond the page you capture, and never accesses browsing history.

Third parties

No analytics SDKs, no advertising identifiers, no third-party trackers.
